We're in Oia, a place that many people come for the sunsets. Our room faces the inner ring of the island formation as most of the hotels do.

The afternoon catamaran cruises head out to the west side of the island so people can watch the sun go down. We decided to take the morning one because it was easy enough to catch sunsets from right on the island. It gets pretty busy, though. Turned out we made the right choice because the day we went ended up being really windy in the evening.

Dinner in Amoudi Bay, just below Oia. The restaurants were mainly seafood places. We had the Lobster Spaghetti that was recommended on TripAdvisor. It was unbelievable.

The walking path through Oia. Our place was about 100 steps down toward the water right where the "Market" sign is on the right. That's probably only a third of the way down to the shoreline.

The rock on the shore was died yellow orange near the hot springs. The water looks nice and inviting but it's pretty damn cold and the hot springs should actually be called 'kind of warm springs.'

The Skipper.
